BGG Group Expands with Acquisition of O.C.R.E.M. Srl

Reggio Emilia, March 14, 2024. We are pleased to announce that Bruno Generators Group S.p.A. – BGG, a leading international player in the production, distribution, and rental of premium-grade generators, light towers and BESS, has acquired 100% of O.C.R.E.M. Srl, based in Fossombrone (PU) in Marche.

O.C.R.E.M., founded in 1929, is specialized in the design, production, supply, and installation of generators for electricity production, automatic parallel groups for power plants, and cogeneration plants fueled by various sources.

This acquisition strengthens BGG’s presence within the Italian market, allowing the Group to offer enhanced premium services, including machines rental as well as support and maintenance for generators and technical support across the whole peninsula.

We warmly welcome Nicola Mastrototaro, CEO of MGE Srl, as new CEO of Ocrem, while Lucio Venturini, the former main shareholder, with his specific competence within the segment, will join the new organization as Technical Consultant.

This strategic move reinforces BGG’s commitment to meeting the needs of our customers and expanding our overall capabilities within the industry.

Historical Background

OCREM SRL was founded in 1999, but the acronym OCREM was coined by its founder Odoscar Venturini in the 1960s: “F.lli Venturini OCREM – Officina Costruzioni Riparazioni Elettriche Meccaniche”.
